About Us

The Daughters of the Cross, popularly known as FCs came to Gayaganga in 1935.Gayaganga Health Mission was established with the opening of Bhogibhita Dispensary on 10th May 1937, adjacent to st Mary's convent Since then it has given medical care to hundreds of sick people from neighbouring villages and tea gardens. During the Bangladesh Liberation War, Bhogibhita Dispensary became the centre of medical service in the whole of Terai. In 1983, it was renamed Bhogibhita Hospital. Bhogibhita hospital became Navjeevan Hospital in 1995.

Soon the Congregation built a larger hospital with more facilities to make health services available to common people at affordable cost. Thus, in 2003 Navjeevan Hospital & Rural Health Care Centre(NHRHCC) came into being. NHRHCC, a 160 bed secondary level hospital with its motto, Love, Care, Share, aims at providing quality and holistic health care for the society, especially for the weakest and the most suffering.
